Choosing the right photograph.. Why would I choose one photo over another? Think of your audience. Are your images clear? Captivating? Can you tell what the subject is doing? Does the image tell a story? The impact of photo colors on the rest of your page

Choosing the right photograph.. Better Equipment A true professional invests in their business, and their images will reflect the quality of that investment. Good equipment provides depth of field and wide angle framing of images that you simply cant get on todays pocket cameras

Making sure your photo fits.. File size is determined by the number of pixels in the image. Resolution is measured by the number of pixels in an inch or ppi. 100 x 100 pixels at 75 ppi 100 x 100 pixels at 25 ppi PRINTING

Making sure your photo fits.. On the web images will display at either 72 or 96 ppi which is standard for monitors. Therefore the dimensions on screen are greatly impacted Not by resolution but by how many pixels make up the image. 100 x 100 pixels at 75 ppi 100 x 100 pixels at 25 ppi For WEB

Sizing Images in Photoshop How many pixels make up the image when you start. Crop first, it decreases file size without reducing quality. Layers will increase file size without changing dimensions. Sometimes Resampling is good and sometimes it is not. How modifying Image size affects the size and quality. Keep your web page dimensions in mind when sizing. Lets see how Photoshop does it...
