Scripted Bodies: Ch. 5- Conclusion Discussion with Dan

Dan’s thoughts… Saltman (2016) reminds us of the psychopathic nature of corporations.  Their own self-interests and preservation are essentially incompatible with conscience and empathy.  As policymakers and school officials turn to corporations for educational reform, educationally-minded corporations certainly have a history of placing their own interests well ahead of children, teachers, and the greater American public (Hursh, 2015; Ravitch, 2016).
