Snapshots Important Dates Room 205 Class Newsletter Ask me… malmee@cbsd.org Snapshots Ask me… What is the decimal for ¼? What is the percent? How much money would you save if an item costs $200 and it is discounted 10%? How is energy passed through the food chain in an ecosystem? Tell me about your Wax Museum person’s life. What did they do to make a positive influence? What are the past, present, and future tenses of the word run? Social Studies: 4th graders have been working diligently on their Wax Museum projects. They have researched, taken notes, and have started to organize their information into speeches, essays, or PowerPoint presentations. Math We have been working on converting decimals to fractions and vice versa. As well as finding the percents. We are also practicing solving word problems involving discounts. In addition to reviewing elapsed time problems. Reading Each student has been practicing reading and taking notes about important details about their wax museum person’s life. Writing Students have been working on grammar skills such as conjunctions, prepositions, contractions, and verb tenses. They have also completed writing an informational research essay. Important Dates Friday, May 29 – Field Day Friday, June 5 – Wax Museum Friday, June 12 – Field Trip Wednesday, June 17 – End of Year Party Thursday, June 18 – Early Dismissal Thursday, June 18 – Last Day of School!
