French/Indian War of 1756 to 1763 fought between French and Indian allies against the British would cause the British to raise taxes to pay the troops staying in the colonies.

The British pass the Stamp Act 1765 to raise taxes to pay soldiers brought to protect colonies.

Sons of Liberty formed to force British to end taxes on tea, paper, paint and other British goods.

Sons of Liberty dispose of British tea and harass Loyalists during Boston Tea Party.

Paul Revere’s famous ride to warn Americans of the British troops landing near Concord.
