8. 양주 and Korean BBQ 양주 – translates as ‘Western alcohol’, however you would not use this word in the West. Instead, call the alcohol by its name. If you are referring to an alcoholic drink with a high percent of alcohol like tequila, rum, vodka, whiskey, etc. then you could say ‘hard alcohol’. In the West you would not say, “I want to drink Western alcohol”, you would say, “I want to drink whiskey”. Likewise, 삼겹살 is translated as ‘Korean BBQ’ in the West but you would not say, “I want to eat Korean BBQ” in Korea, you would say, “I want to eat 삼겹살.”

9. I don’t drink well. I can’t drink much / I don’t drink much. I don’t like drinking / I don’t drink often.
