Barrel Management Console 2019 Speak to handout, fill out ahead of time Remind to have computers up and running; Test database should be used (dumping/filling, etc.) **You added a few animations, remember Presented by: Jay Uhlenhoff

Agenda: 1st Half Introductions Concepts Configuration Setup

Agenda: 2nd Half Daily Workflow Blending & Additions Introductions Concepts Configuration Setup Daily Workflow Blending & Additions Other Functionality **Consider asking for shout-outs on other functionality they want to see

Agenda Introductions Concepts Configuration Setup **Energizer? Share a personal hobby or interest – go first

Agenda Introductions Concepts Configuration Setup

Concepts One-Stop Shop Everything In One Place Manage your barrels and aging-liquid Take action on both See history for how those two came together then separated Everything In One Place Cost, location, age, size, yeast, barrel contents …all in the same place. Before and after the aging process, they’re separate. During they’re together. Almost like a relationship doomed to fail. Two independent people, coming together to become better than the sum of their parts, before the liquid decides it’s better off on it’s own…and dumps the barrel. Costing, history and actions are all covered from barrel/contents perspective. You manage a barrel and its contents together. When the time to part arrives, the barrel can be dumped providing you with aged liquid and an empty, used shell.

Concepts That sounds great! …but what’s the catch? For that level of visibility, the system needs more data input, and that takes time and effort This young man is disciplined and ready to take on all comers, maybe it’s love maybe the BMC – who else is ready?!!

Concepts Items and flow reflect reality closer Two main elements Physical Shell = Item Templates One for each state – Empty, Filled Liquid Contents = Liquid WIP Item **Mention different states for shells Liquid in the shell can also include any adjuncts added before or during the aging duration in the shell

Got a barrel aging program? Well, tell us about it! Share the state of your aging program Talk to Barrel Details sheet and ask audience for feedback and questions

Agenda Introductions Concepts Configuration Setup **Time check: Not longer than 30 mins in; Around 20 perhaps

Barrel Management Console

Home Tab Shows Aging production orders Must be used for Filling Barrels Quick view of barrel totals by Brand or Barrel Type Review Process Types window if missing PdOs How to add PdOs here? ‘Process Types’ window Possibility of adding a Process Type for Barrel Filtration perhaps?

Management Tab

Management Tab Primary location for barrel activity Including dumping barrels Action buttons on the Left Filter down to subsets or single barrels 5 customizable text attributes **Have time? Consider having them demo updating an Attribute specific to them

Management Tab: Additional Filtering Additional filtering at the Top Filter on any column Can stack multiple filters

Setup Tab

Hands On Activity Add OR Remove at least 1 of each: Type Size Status Add your two templates: Empty Filled Ask for open questions on how to configure BMC for a specific customer Talk to Attributes, pending time

Agenda Introductions Concepts Configuration Setup **Time check: Want to be around 50-60 mins in; 75 would be on the later side

Setup Aging Liquid (BA1012) Barrel Shell (BRL1001) WIP Item Group (Aging) Separated by brand/base Multiple batches Remove shells from BOM Consider new brand for BA version Shell item itself will go away/not be used, but quick details is still tracked Any brands where an aged version of the brand is treated separately? Specific BA version? How is that managed today?

Setup Templates Empty Barrel (BRL53G-EMP) Filled Barrel (BRL53G-FLD) Introduce idea of distinguishing characteristics visibility – Prior aged liquid, Type of wood, Vendor shell came from (wood or liquid) Only add a characteristic that WILL NOT change to the item code/description **Call out: Anyone care to designate new from used barrels? Optional: New Barrel (BRL53G-NEW)

Empty Barrel Item Template

Empty Barrel Item Template **Add speaking notes for possibilities on costing** Moving average Standard Fixed asset (thus Moving average or Standard)

Barrel State Templates To create multiples right-click Duplicate Only need to edit the Item Code and Name Separated by type, size and state of barrel Multiple shells maintained on same item Required Inventory, Purchasing & Sales Manage Item By: None RM: Other or RM: Barrel Item Group State – Filled or Empty; interchangeable ‘Item Template’ or ‘State Template’ – help convey what exactly the item is and what it’s doing

Barrel State Templates Options Item Code – Semi-flexible Must include size and state Defining characteristic? Recommended: BRL53G-BBN-EMP Item Description – Flexible Best practice to include size and state Recommended: Barrel 53G–Bourbon–EMPTY
