RESILIENCE GRIT

What is Resilience?

It is knowing you will be okay no matter what happens. It is the ability to bounce back after a fall. Being resilient means to rebound, to come back to a positive position and recover your strength. You spring back and don’t let unhappy experiences keep you down!

BOUNCE BACK Resilient people look for new ways of thinking and acting to make themselves strong. They find new strategies when the old ways of acting don’t work.

When a 14 year old boy asked financial giant Warren Buffet to reveal the secret to a successful life, Buffet replied, “Hang out with people whose behavior is better than yours and you will drift in the right direction.”

HELPER WORDS Bad times and hardships are not going to know me down. If I get knocked down, I jump back up. Stress heading my way? I am ready to be bounceable. Got bounce? YESSS! I AM THE BOUNCE BACK KID!

When 2 or more people want different things. CONFLICT When 2 or more people want different things.

SUMMARY POINTS Conflict is a part of life – it can be positive and help you grow. Conflict can be good or bad depending on how we deal with it. Every time we interact there is a potential for conflict. We may even feel conflict within ourselves Small conflicts should be dealt with as soon as possible so they don’t grow. Disagree with ideas or behavior, not people.
