After Viewing… Discuss the questions on page 172 with your home group. Come to a group consensus for each answer Is Edward behaving any differently now than he did before? What is different about the town’s treatment of him? What is the effect of the scene with Kim dancing in the ice crystal? How have her feelings about Edward changed? Why? How has Edward tried to fit in? Why has he failed? What does the “ethics lesson” reveal about Edward?

Analysis of Key Scene Divide up the cinematic techniques at the bottom of 172 amongst your group You will focus on your one cinematic technique in the key scene about to be shown again Take notes of interesting or effective examples of your technique Think about the low-key lighting and backlighting as well as the use of long-shots of Edward from the point of view of the police.
