What Is a Reflection? (copy this from ‘v’ drive) According to the dictionary, a reflection is: a fixing of the thoughts on something; careful consideration; a thought occurring in consideration or meditation (dictionary.com).

The purpose of a reflection is... 1. To look back on an experience and determine its meaning or significance to us personally. 2. A reflection is usually done in order to understand why we feel a certain way about a subject. 3. It can be a useful tool to reflect on what we have learned and to incorporate how all these ideas and our own past and present experiences all fit together.

The main goal is... to go through a process of discovery. In a reflection, the focus is inward-looking; personal thoughts, feelings, and findings could always be included.
