Student Objectives Review the content tested on all sections of important standardized exams. Learn and practice test-taking strategies tailored to each exam. Develop time-management skills in preparation for the exams. Understand your own areas of strength and weakness, and develop a study plan accordingly. Gain experience with both exams by using questions taken from actual SAT and ACT tests. Understand how test questions are created and how each exam is scored. Improve your scores on both exams.

For class each day, you will need… Writing utensils Notebook Calculator iPad/SmartPhone/Laptop Your completed homework Obviously, you have other, more interesting work to do at SAMS, so I will not be doing a lot of collecting or grading of homework. However, you will get the most out of this course if you do the homework and come to class prepared to ask questions about items you’re struggling with

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THIS CLASS Pay attention in class Do the homework Do extra practice When practicing, use several different techniques so that you become proficient in all of them After SAMS, keep practicing on a regular basis
