How do Burial practices/sites shape the cultural landscape? The development of places or activities to treat or preserve the dead. Impact on cultural landscape: impose conformity on the landscape, affects local land use and makes the landscape distinctive. Examples: cremation practice (Hinduism, Buddhism) park like cemeteries (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) Catacombs, burial mounds, burial at sea
