“The Patriot” Open Response Throughout The Patriot you should have seen and heard several examples of grievances (complaints) by the colonists against the British. You also saw and heard examples of why the British eventually would lose the Revolutionary War. Your task is to write a 5 sentence (minimum) paragraph that does the following: Explain, using at least 1 piece of evidence from the movie, why the colonists were rebelling against the British. Explain, using at least 2 pieces of evidence from the movie, why the colonists were able to defeat the British. Describe how the problems faced by the colonists and their reaction against the British showed evidence of Enlightenment thought as a catalyst for the American Revolution. Turn In When Finished and pick up the French Revolution vocab and I.D. sheet.
