Resolution to Comment #48 March, 2008 Resolution to Comment #48 Comment #48 Current UEP procedure doesn't seem to support various color depths of video data. Resolution Include text “Upper layer always sends video data which is reformatted to the color depths of 8 to the MAC layer.” in UEP section in the draft. ETRI
Resolution to Comment #49 (1) March, 2008 Resolution to Comment #49 (1) Comment #49 Need to have an indication for the position of the middle point which separates MSBs from LSBs. Resolution Include “Bit Separation” field (12bit) in existing capability IE or UEP IE which has to be newly generated. This field shall be applied to UEP type 2. And also it can be used in UEP type 1. ETRI
Resolution to Comment #49 (2) March, 2008 Resolution to Comment #49 (2) Resolution (bit separation field format) Bit separation can give us flexibility for controlling the ratio of MSBs and LSBs in the UEP. In current MAC, we already have a function to separate MSBs and LSBs. It is considered to be better to make a fixed separation ratio more flexible. It is not a big overhead because this information is not sent every single frame. ETRI
Resolution to Comment #50 March, 2008 Resolution to Comment #50 Comment #50 To make UEP be optimized for various types of video formats, UEP procedure needs to be applicable not only for MSBs and LSBs but also other classifications, for example, luminance and chrominance and so on. Resolution Information for video format such as RGB and YCbCr shall be transferred through MAC SAP. ETRI
