Mount Hood Northern Oregon Mount Hood is a shield volcano. It is potentially active but most likely dormant. Mount Hood will most likely to have nongaseous eruptions in the future.

Formation Formed by convergent subduction zone

History The last eruption of Mount Hood occurred in August of 1907. Last major eruptions occurred in the 1790s.

Mount Hood Mount Hood is part of the Cascade Range. It is the highest mountain in Oregon. Mount Hood is considered Oregon’s volcano most likely to erupt.
