Post Tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 1-20.09.19 East to west, welcome to the Amazing Fjords! After the workshop we join for a scenic drive from east to west across the Sognefjell mountain pass. This is the highest and most impressive mountain pass in Northern Europe (highest point 1430 meters), and it has been awarded the status of National Tourist Route because of the spectacular and wild mountain scenery it passes through in the Jotunheimen National Park. We arrive to the Amazing Fjords of Luster and Skjolden Hotel idyllically located in the end of the Sognefjord. Aperitif and storytelling in the garden overlooking the fjord. Dinner will be served at Skåri Mountain Farm. This unique farm is located 225m amsl with breathtaking views over valleys, mountains, fjords and waterfalls. All rooms are unique and decorated with inspiration from the middle ages. We return to Skjolden for a night cap and a good night sleep.

Post Tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 2-21.09.19 Skjolden-Hafslo-Solvorn-Sogndal After a breakfast with fjord views we will drive to Bestebakken Hotel. We will get a tour around this unique boutique hotel in Hafslo. We continue with a short drive to Walaker Hotel. This familyrun hotel is Norway’s oldest from 1690 and the 9th. generation of the Nitter Walaker family stands ready to welcome us. After a tour of the art gallery a delicious lunch of local produce awaits. After lunch the tour goes to Sogndal and the new Quality Hotel Sogndal, reopened 09.05.19. This is the largest conference hotel outside the large cities in Norway and takes up to 400 people. RIB boats will then take us from Sogndal to Balestrand, giving you time to sit back and enjoy the beautiful fjords.

Post Tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 2-21.09.19 Sogndal-Balestrand-Myrkdalen At historical Kviknes Hotel we will be served afternoon tea. From the 18th century this family run hotel, with the beautiful wooden swiss style achitecture, has welcomed guests to beautiful fjord surroundings. From royalty to moviestars have visited the hotel which can also boast from an extensive art collection. The RIBs will then bring us across the fjord where busses await in Vik. We drive across the Vikafjell mountain pass to the final destination, Myrkdalen Hotel and resort. A lovely autumn meal from the Norwegian mountains await.

Post tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 3-22.09.19 Myrkdalen-Gudvangen-Flåm-Bergen After a hearty breakfast we are heading from mountain to the fjord. We drive down Stalheimskleivane hairpin bends on our way to Gudvangen. Here we are met by the local Vikings in the Viking village Njardarheimr. They will give us a tour of their village where you can see activities and crafts from the Viking era. We jump back into modern times and almost into the future with the fully electric vessel, Future of the Fjords, for a Unesco cruise of the Nærøyfjord to Flåm. Todays lunch is a Viking Plank at Ægir gastropub. We are met by one of the Flåmsbrygga representatives to learn more about their concept. We have just enough time for a tour of historical Fretheim Hotel before «the most scenic train journey in the world» the Flåm railway departs. At the end station Myrdal we change for the main railway towards Oslo or Bergen. An extra day in Bergen is highly recommended!

Post tour #MeetInNorway 2019 Day 4- extra day-23.09 Bergen Bergen is known as “The Gateway To The Fjords” Between 7 mountains the charming little city can offer Unesco listed Bryggen wharf and a famous fish market. Overnight stay at Villa Terminus. As a private house in the heart of the center the chef will make you breakfast to be enjoyed in the courtyard/garden, sheltered from the busy city.
