Presentation transcript:

Raggie Annie just sat there, slumped down in her chair Raggie Annie just sat there, slumped down in her chair. She never got any stickers. She wasn’t at all like Sadie, so I put her in my toy trunk with all the other toys I’d grown out of.

One day, as I was playing with Sadie in the garden, I tripped over a big stone, and I fell and grazed my leg and my arm. I started to cry.

I cried and cried, and my mummy just didn’t know how to make me feel better. Then she had an idea. She went to the garden to get me my Sadie doll. Sadie always made me feel happy.

I tried to cuddle Sadie, but she was just too hard I tried to cuddle Sadie, but she was just too hard. She didn’t give me any comfort at all. Her clothes scratched my skin, and her plastic face was cold. I needed something soft, gentle and warm. I needed Raggie Annie.

Mummy got my Raggie Annie out of the toy trunk and gave her to me to cuddle. I stopped crying straight away. Raggie Annie reminded me of warm milk, biscuits and cuddles with mummy.

I loved my old Raggie Annie. I still loved Sadie doll too, it’s just that Sadie was my day time doll and Raggie Annie was my night time doll. They both gave me so much pleasure in different ways, and I’ll never forget them.
