Monday 4th December 2017 Do not fear, God is near! God is with you today as you venture into the unknown, God is with you in your joys and in your sorrows. You are not alone in your journey. You are not forsaken in trial or tribulation, for God is ever with you. Candle in the Dark David Adam How often do I ‘give up’ on things, because I feel alone? How often do I ‘give up’, because I fear, what will happen? How often do I ‘give up’, because I don’t feel strong enough to persevere?

Let us pray, Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, you make light to shine in the darkness. You guided the children of Israel and led them, after many trials and tribulations, to the Promised Land. As you called them, so you call us. We ask you to give us strength in our weakness, to dispel our fear of the unknown, to help us to know that we walk in your light and that you are always near us, leading us to freedom as your children. We ask this in your name, Amen.
