The 3 types of Learning Theories Constructivism Behaviorism Cognitivism
Constructivist Theory This theory suggests that build their interpretation of the world based on their personal experiences. The goal of this theory is that learning is not just a process of collecting knowledge but constructing their own knowledge.
Behaviorist Theory Learning occurs when a correct response is given after given a specific environmental stimulus. The goal of this type of learning theory is to bring forth the desired response from the person learning with a target stimulus. Some Theorists that tested this theory are Pavlov, Skinner and Bandura.
Cognitivist Theory This theory says that containing knowledge is a mental activity that includes “internal coding and structuring” by the person learning. The goal is that when learning occurs it is stored in the memory in an organized way.
