Learning Objectives 1. Know where to navigate to configure aspects of the Professional Development feature such as Credit Type(s) and Certification/Program(s). 2. Feature Areas Where Credits Can Be Assigned Credits can be earned via: Being marked as attended an event and/or event session Taking a survey Passing a Quiz Webinar Title
Frontend Review – Member Profile Manage Profile > Content & Features > Professional Development Journal Entries Tab Tracks individual activities members complete to be awarded CEUs Certifications/Programs Tab Tracks overall progress towards completion of a Certification and download Certificate Webinar Title
Aspects of Configuration Expiration Reminder Emails Navigation: Features Menu Tab > Professional Development Section > Configuration a. Send expiration notification – Yes or No b. Pre expiration reminders - # of days before expiration c. Post expiration reminders - # of days after expiration Webinar Title
Aspects of Configuration 2. Credit Types Navigation: Features Menu Tab > Professional Development section> Credit Types Credit Types allow site administrators to define specific types of learning credits that members can earn. Credit Types can be towards an overall Certification, but can also be open ended solely for tracking purposes. Webinar Title
Aspects of Configuration 3. Certifications Navigation: Features Menu Tab > Professional Development Section > Certifications Certifications are programs or certificates that a member works towards or possibly has already earned. Here, you will name the certification and establish settings for how members will earn the overall certificate. This is also where you create the template for the downloadable certificate members earn after satisfying the requirements. Webinar Title

Statement of Credit Template Navigation: Features Menu Tab > Professional Development Section > Professional Development Statement of Credit The Statement of Credit is awarded to a member after completing a specific activity where credits can be assigned such as attending an event. This is NOT the overall Certificate that members gain access to after completing all requirements. Webinar Title
Assigning CEUs to Feature Areas Events – Most Common Feature Area Used Navigation: Features Menu Tab > Events Section > Calendar & Events Locate Event in Question > Hover on List View Icon > Credits – Prof. Development After being marked as having attended an event in the system, a member can be automatically awarded a specific number of credits. Assigning CEUs to Feature Areas Surveys & Quizzes Navigation: Features Menu Tab > Website & Social section > Surveys, Benchmarks, Quizzes Locate Survey or Quiz in Question > Hover on List View Icon > Credits – Professional Development After taking a survey or passing a quiz, a member can be automatically awarded a specific number of credits. When Automatically Awarding Doesn’t Work CEU Import! While YM recommends exploring and taking advantage of all opportunities to automatically award credits to members, there is another option. Preparing a spreadsheet according to the YM template allows admins to directly import professional development data in to the system. An import allows for the addition of new data, but also allows for the update of existing data. Webinar Title
