2nd gr teachers will be there from 5-6pm Second Grade January 7-11 Goals for this week: Math We will show a given number up to 1,200 in numerous ways. I will build a number and show the place value for each digit to the thousands. Reading We will read in phrases, using punctuation, so that our reading makes sense and sounds right. I will practice fluency during Read to Self and Read to Someone. Writing We will write letters to share opinions about favorite characters. We will rehearse and get energy for writing by talking with a partner. I will write letters to share ideas about characters. Science We will learn how the appearance of the moon changes in a repeating pattern. I will observe, describe and record patterns of the moon. Social Studies We will identify the contributions of Martin Luther King Jr. I will tell about the Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream. Word Work We will review spelling patterns from this school year.
