Northeastern Sub Divisions The Northeastern United States is a region of the United States defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. Covers nine states including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Northeastern Sub Divisions Includes New England and Mid-Atlantic New England is the oldest clearly defined region of the United States. Mid-Atlantic is the most densely populated region while only including New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Midwest Midwest Sub Divisions The Midwest is a region of the north-central and northeastern United States. The heart of the Midwest is bounded by the Great Lakes and the Ohio and Mississippi River Valleys. South South Sub Divisions The region of the United States embracing the southeastern and south-central of the country. The South includes sixteen states which are Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. South Sub Divisions South has three sub divisions: South Atlantic, East South Central, and West South Central. The South Atlantic is considered the “New South” The East South Central forms the core of “Old-Dixie” West South Central is also part of “Old-Dixie”
