Update on WRAP Input to NEI Re-Engineering Process Emissions Forum Meeting Spokane, WA October 18-19, 2006

NEI Task Force Led by Doug Solomon ~25 people on E-Mail list, 10 of whom are from EPA NEI_Task_Force@epamail.epa.gov Chris Ramsdell, Brenda Harpring, Bob Downing, Jeff Stocum from Emissions Forum Monthly calls 10/17 Call – discussed: Business Process Report Comments and Responses Facility Inventory and Point Emissions Proposals

NEI Task Force – SCC code issues reported Allow more finely resolved marine SCC codes while keeping the higher level codes active, so that emissions could be reported according to the level of detail available for that geographic area. Evaluate European approach - the classification system is called “SNAP” codes - Selected Nomenclature for sources of Air Pollution”.  The SNAP list can be found at: http://reports.eea.europa.eu/EMEPCORINAIR4/en/, then click on “Content” tab Dust emissions level of detail Fire emissions – content/format standards

NEI Task Force – Using NEI-formatted data for modeling analysis EGU data – CAMD vs. permitting agency Speciation profile – assignment by SCC? Temporal profiles – day of week and diurnal Processing of files – combining files in SMOKE prevents subsequent analysis at level data were reported Others?

Next Steps Participate in calls Forward write-up of SCC & modeling data applications
