I didn’t really believe in evolution At the beginning of the class, when Ms. Menendez told us to write about what we knew about evolution, I told her I didn’t really know anything. My friends and family don’t really talk about that kind of stuff a lot and I don’t even watch the news. All I know is that my family told me that God is the creator of the Earth and all of its creatures. Apparently, evolution is telling me that God didn’t do any of that. I don’t really believe that. I didn’t really believe in evolution

Reading my first paper at the beginning of the unit, I feel a little silly. I feel a lot more educated on the subject of evolution now and I feel comfortable enough to talk about what I’ve learned. Over the course of the unit, I have seen a humongous amount of evidence supporting the theory of evolution. It was fun playing around with those evolution simulators and gave me the opportunity to see what happened at an accelerated pace. The project opened my eyes to how many disciplines of science there really are and how much evidence they’ve found in support of evolution. The debate was really great! Doing research on a side I disagreed with was very educational. When we talked about it afterwards, I really felt like I’ve learned a lot. The debate was especially great because it made me realize that just because I believe in God, doesn’t mean I can’t believe in evolution either. A lot of evidence

How I would adjust for disabled Students Depending on the disability of the students, I would do a variety of adjustments on the assessments: I could decrease the page limit to 1 page I could ask to do a talking assessment, if they’d prefer (ILL) I would have them work with a special education teacher How I would adjust for disabled Students
