CANADA 1 Don’t put your elbows on the table. Table Manners from Some Countries in the World Don’t forget that a good manner in a country can be a bad manner in another one! CANADA 1 Don’t put your elbows on the table. 2 Don’t talk with your mouth open.

SOUTH KOREA GERMANY Don’t put your elbows on the table. Don’t eat before the oldest person starts. Don’t leave the table before the oldest person finishes his/her meal. Don’t eat fast. Don’t make noise. GERMANY Don’t put your elbows on the table. Keep your hands on the table, not under it.

JAPAN TURKEY Don’t talk while you are eating. Don’t blow your nose at the table. When eating hot noodle, it is okay to make loud slurping noises. Hold the bowl (plate) with one hand and the chopsticks with the other hand TURKEY Don’t talk while you are eating. Eat with your right hand. Never use your left hand

INDIA THAILAND Eat with your right hand. Never use your left hand. Lick your fingers when you’re done. THAILAND Leave a little food on your plate to show that you are full. Never leave rice on your plate. Don’t lick your fingers.

ITALY Use your fork and knife to eat, even fruit and cheese. Eat spaghetti only with a fork. Don’t touch your hair while eating. Don’t hold your bowl or plate.
