Children have been split up into random groups The teachers they will with when schools begins is TBD. We will find out their teachers At the Kindergarten Playdate Children will have the opportunity to play in the kindergarten classrooms in small groups

Kindergarten Programs Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) Guided Reading / Daily 5 Integrated Thematic Units of Study Hands-On Science Music, Norris Performing Arts, Art At Your Fingertips, Garden Technology/Media Literacy Physical Education

Kindergarten - Math Count to 100 by ones and tens Count to tell the number of objects to 20. Write numbers to 20. Compare groups of objects up to 10. Model Base 10 for numbers to 20. REQUIRED FLUENCY: Add/Subtract within 5

Kindergarten - ELA Understand “Concepts About Print” Know letters, the sounds they make, and combinations of letter sounds (phonics) Decode and read emergent texts. Ask and answer questions about text, retell stories and important events, make predictions, compare and contrast texts. Write a simple sentence with correct punctuation

Pick Up and Drop Off Procedures Pick up and Drop off for TK and Kindergarten is in the front lot Remain in your cars Move Forward with Traffic You are welcome to walk in to pick up or drop off your child but will need to park in the street Kindergarten playground opens at 8:15 a.m. Stay Strong!

Lunch Program Students/Parents can place a lunch order with the child’s teacher Children will have an opportunity to eat a nutritious hot lunch including alternates like grill cheese, bean and cheese burrito Salad Bar Milk or juice Check your child’s balance online
