What is it? What are we talking about? Here is the answer!  Evolution What is it? What are we talking about? Here is the answer! 

Evolution “Redi, Spallanzani, and Pasteur (experiments to disprove spontaneous generation)

Theories Creationism – a “higher being” created Earth Spontaneous Generation (abiogenesis) – life comes from nonliving things. Biogenesis – life comes from living things

Redi’s Experiment Proved that flies did not spontaneously generate from rotting meat. Proved that adult flies came from maggots.

Spallanzani’s Experiment Boiled meat broth to prove that microorganisms came from other microorganisms. Everyone was stuck on spontaneous generation so said his experiment was completely inaccurate.

Pasteur’s Experiment Proved Spallanzani’s experiment correct. Curved neck flask allowed for the air to mix but no microorganisms to come in. Why biogenesis is the cornerstone of biology.
