PERSEKUTUAN PENGAKAP MALAYSIA KUMPULAN LATIHAN KELANASISWA MALAYSIA Scouting provides young people with opportunities to participate in programmes, events, activities and projects that contribute to their growth as active citizens. Through these initiatives, young people become agents of positive change who inspire others to take action.

The programme provides support for Scouts to engage in environmental education activities, to learn about nature and the environment and to make informed choices about the environment, people and society. “Nature Study Is The Key Activity In Scouting And Guiding.” Baden Powell

The World Scout Environment Badge is awarded to any Scout who successfully completes the two components to a standard that meets the educational objectives specified for the respective Stage of the Award. A. Explore and Reflect  Each of the five aims are explored through a variety of experiential or participatory activities that enable the participant to connect with the subject, learn about it and think about how we interact with it. B. Take Action A need to take action is identified and an environmental project is planned and executed. This should be related to the learning achieved in the exploring stage and the local environmental conditions.

People and natural systems have clean water and clean air. Sufficient natural habitat exists to support native species. The risk of harmful substances to people and the environment are minimised. The most suitable environmental practices are used. People are prepared to respond to environmental hazards and natural disasters

Projects done as part of the SW Award contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The Scouts of the World Award is granted to individuals having successfully accomplished a “Scouts of the World Discovery” and a “Scouts of the World Voluntary Service”.

The Scouts of the World Award (SW Award) is a world scout programme that challenges young people aged 15 to 26 years old, Scouts and non-Scouts, to think about the global issues they value and act upon them in their local community. The Scouts of the World Award consists of two phases. They are Scouts of the World Discovery (SW Discovery) Scouts of the World Voluntary Service (SW Voluntary Service)

Messengers of Peace is a global initiative designed to inspire millions of young people in more than 220 countries and territories to work toward peace. Scouts from around the world share what they’ve done and inspire fellow Scouts to undertake similar efforts in their own communities. If we apply love in place of fear we at once gain the diminution of poverty, crime, and disease in our individual countries, and we gain peace between the nations through mutual trust, honor, and goodwill.
