NJSLA TESTING- ELA- 5/2, 5/3, 5/6, MATH- 5/13 & 5/14 SCIENCE We will be exploring life cycles of various animals. We will be using the science lab to conduct many lessons and hands on experiments including dissecting owl pellets. We will also be learning about seeds and watch how they grow. Language Arts The students will join a new book club this month. Our focus will be book club series. The students will read various chapter books within a series, complete activities and work cooperatively to discuss the books with their friends. WRITING Mrs. Marin 3rd Grade News The students will remember the importance of specific writing structures we have learned as they apply them during the NJSLA. We will continue writing narrative essays from the third person point of view , will continue to work on using their writing binders and will carefully edit final drafts to make our writing GREAT. MATH NJSLA TESTING- ELA- 5/2, 5/3, 5/6, MATH- 5/13 & 5/14 NO SCHOOL- 5/27 We will learn about volume, units of measurement, measuring with a ruler. It important for each student to continue to practice their math facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Please use your flashcards, games, and log on to Dream Box to help strengthen math skills each day!
