Each group will have a few minutes to present their summary. BETTS & NEIHART - CHARACTERISTICS OF GIFTEDNESS   Part 1 Working in groups you will be given one of the profiles to learn about. Read the various sections of the article, both the text and the table for your TYPE. Using a Y chart split into 3 categories, how they feel, how they sound, and how they look summarise the characteristics of your allocated TYPE. You are to discuss and record on the Y chart how you think a child with this profile will LOOK, FEEL and SOUND. Select spokes person/s to present you profile to the group. If you recognize this profile from students you have taught then add this information to the discussion. Each group will have a few minutes to present their summary.

Part 2 Now looking at the recommendations for home support and school support for your PROFILE, plus your own experience create a list of strategies you might adopt to assist this type of student. Use the headings: NEEDS SCHOOL SUPPORT
