Biography Elias Howe was born July 9,1819 he was born in spencer,Massachusetts. His father operated a gristmill and sawmill. Elias worked in a factory for 2 years. Elias made 4,000 dollars a week. Elias started first sewing machine in April,1845. Elias Howe died October 3,1867.

Invention I invented yarn which makes clothes. I invented buttons which hold up peoples pants. I invented scissors which cut things. I invented Irons which straighten clothes. I invented the Sewing Machine which makes clothes. Elias Howe is a great inventor because he made us be able to have a lot of clothing.
