Chapter One Data Collection 1.4 Sources of Error in Sampling

Non-sampling errors are errors that result from the survey process Non-sampling errors are errors that result from the survey process. They are due to the non-response of individuals selected to be in the survey, inaccurate response, poorly worded questions, bias in the selection of individuals to be in the survey, etc.

Sampling error is the error that results in using sampling to estimate information regarding a population. This type of error occurs because a sample does not give complete information about the population.
