CHIETA Strategic Project Funding Window – 09 May 2016

Strategic Projects Application Strategic Projects are projects that falls outside the scope of the normal DG Project. Such projects usually require more funding than the normal grant level. Companies must refrain from applying for normal Learning Projects under Strategic projects Same application funding window dates and disbursement timeframes as the Learning Projects. Applications are done on the IT Aware system Valid Tax Clearance Certificate is required as part of the application The application process needs more detail about the project as compared to the Learning projects application Beneficiaries: 18.1 learners and 18.2

Grants Levels and Eligibility Grant levels are dependent on the project initiated and will be determined at the discretion of the CHIETA management. Approval from both the grants committee and CHIETA governing board will be required. Chemical sector companies who are eligible and have submitted the ATR-WSP to the CHIETA via the Source Data Mandatory Submission System are eligible to apply. Non-levy paying companies, CHIETA accredited training providers, SMME’s, CBO’s CBC’s, NPO’s, NGO’s and Co-Ops that are within the chemical sector can apply. Government institutions are eligible to apply.
