United by Awe It is said of those who obeyed the gospel on the day of Pentecost that “Awe came upon every soul” (Acts 2:43). In awe of what God was doing for them and among them, they united in work and worship. In a sense, they were united by awe. We can be as well. Acts 2:42-47

Those United by Awe in Acts 2… Saw to it that the needy were cared for (2:44-45) They had given themselves to the Lord (2 Corinthians 8:1-5) They devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints (1 Corinthians 16:15)
Those United by Awe in Acts 2… Assembled together for worship and lived closely connected lives (2:46-47) They assembled (Hebrews 10:24-25) They showed hospitality (Romans 12:13; 1 Peter 4:9)
On the great day of Pentecost, awe inspired souls became one. There is a great day coming in which the book of life will be opened (Rev. 20:12-15) On that awesome day, those whose names are written in the book will want to be united! (Philippians 4:2-3)
