Power Point Tips and Hints Advice on making a Power Point presentation

Make sure that the font color and size is easily read against the background color that you choose. Most Power Points are designed to be a visual aid during a presentation. Therefore, it should be easily seen. Carefully choose the color, size and background color so that they are easily seen and read.

This can be difficult to read from a distance Consider Font Size This is 12 point font size This is 20 point font size This is 40 point font size also… Consider Font Style This can be difficult to read from a distance This is a better font Choice With most fonts a minimum of 40 points should be good. Avoid “handwriting” fonts.

Use bullets, lists or pictures instead of paragraphs or sentences The 4 basic steps of the scientific method are observation -which uses the 5 senses, hypothesis-which is a proposed result, experiment-which tests the hypothesis, and conclusion- which states the results. Conclusion Also, if it is used as a visual aid during your presentation, then it should not contain lengthy amounts of words that need to be read. Lists, bullets, graphs or even pictures to represent thoughts should be used instead. You want the audience to listen to what you have to say, not spend excessive amounts of time reading your slides.
