INDIGENOUS/ ABORIGINAL ADVISORY GROUPS The geographic area and Indigenous people’s intended to be represented must be clearly identified The criteria for eligibility must include “active involvement in the Aboriginal Community” Cultural Matters must be excluded by assumption, unless the appropriate approvals have been sought from Recognised Cultural Authorities in the geographic area Advisors must be appointed by the people that they are expected to represent Advisors must be given a TERMS OF REFERENCE that requires ongoing consultation & engagement with the people that they are expected to represent Advisors must report back to the people they are representing Any Advisory Group must be accountable to the people that they represent
