Biography Elwood Haynes was born into a wealthy family on October 14,1857. He invented the first gasoline car and the horseless carriage. Elwood Haynes was a teacher before he built cars. He was also a businessman . Elwood Haynes died on April 3, 1925.

Invention Elwood Haynes is most known for inventing the gasoline car. His car helped people get from place to place and where they needed to go. He made cars that could travel a long distance . His cars were also cheap and more people bought them. His cars also helped people get around faster instead of walking. Elwood Haynes got a lot of money because of his cars. Elwood Haynes cars can also be in regulated temperatures . Elwood Haynes were the cheapest to move goods.He had his own company which helped him get more money.
