LT. Cunningham’s Class This week in: We are learning: Reading: We are going to read Striking It Rich. We are going to be focusing on asking questions. This will increase students’ critical thinking Skills and allow them to get deeper into the text. Math: Each group is moving on to a new chapter. We are learning about patterns, sequences, and input/output tables in my patterns group. In the fractions group, the students are learning how to make equivalent fractions and add/subtract fractions with like denominators. Social Skills: We will continue social skills with students who continue to need this support. Writing: Students who do not need to continue with social skills will start a famous hoosiers project. The students will finish researching and start putting together a timeline and a rough draft for their famous hoosier. Important Reminders News Spring Break is coming up. We will have an early dismissal on March 23rd. We have a reading test on Wednesday. Normal spelling and homework this week. Week of March 12 to March 16 ccunningham@goapa.org

If they get all of the words on the pretest correct, then they don’t have to take a post test and will work on challenge words. Fridays are spelling test days and the results will be sent home either that day or Monday. You can also go online to see your student’s scores on activities and tests!
