Writing Warm-Up #46

You will need two sheets of blank paper as well as your dialogue homework for this writing warm-up.

Exchange your dialogue homework with a classmate Exchange your dialogue homework with a classmate. On one of your blank sheets of paper, write the situation that the dialogue captures (an argument at the dinner table, a verbal fight at a locker, etc.) at the top of the sheet.

Next, either continue where your classmate’s dialogue left off or create a new dialogue based on the situation the original writer captured in his/her dialogue. Do this on the paper for which you have just created a heading.

Trade dialogues with a different classmate and repeat this process one more time.
