What is a Tarantula A tarantula is in the theraphosidae family of spiders. over 900 species have been identified in the theraphosidae family.
How and What they Eat? Sometimes they eat other spiders. The biggest tarantulas eat lizards, mice, bats, birds and small snakes. Their mouths are short and thin like a straw and they can only suck up food.
What do they Look Like? Tarantulas legs can have a span of 5 inches. They also have needle like fangs but rarely bite humans unless they have to defend them selves, but when they do it is not poisons but it hurts.
Continuing what they look like Tarantulas have interesting colors such as blue, yellow and green. Tarantulas can be measured up to 3 oz. to 6 oz.
Tarantulas Habits Tarantulas shed their exoskeletons in order to grow. They normally hunt in trees.
How Baby Tarantulas are born Females can deposit 50 to 2000 eggs in 1sack. The young spiderlings stay in the nest for quit some time.
