Cronfa Update September 2017
Cronfa System Improvements ……………. Through the first year of using the Cronfa system (2016/17), a wide range of feedback was gathered from schools and CSC staff relating to areas for improvement on the system. To ensure that the Cronfa system is continually improving, this feedback was focussed on the following areas: Finding information faster Enabling users to request support Enabling additional email addresses Dropbox functionality Supporting user customisation Tracking activity Gathering greater intelligence and reporting from Cronfa to support school improvement
Finding Information Faster The front page of the system has been redesigned to enable faster access to all Cronfa, tools, information and features
Finding Information Faster The global search bar has been enhanced to pick up more information and enable users to filter results by tools e.g. events. The global search bar is in place to help all users find out about all support available in the region.

Finding Information Faster Should a search not return any results then users will be able to request support/information by completing a quick pro-forma. Once submitted the CSC support team will process the request and provide a swift response.
Enabling additional email addresses Users can use the settings button in your profile to amend preferences and add in an additional email address. This will enable schools to add their school email addresses to receive notifications directly from the system, and not solely to Hwbmail accounts.
Dropbox functionality Within each user profile is a section entitled files, this allows each user to securely store files and folders on the Cronfa system, available anywhere with an internet connection. N.B This information is only available to you and no one else.
Supporting user customisation Using the customise button users can select from a range of topics/priorities. Once selected the homepage view will be tailored to support these user preferences.
Supporting user customisation When selecting your preferences the homepage will be tailored to your preferences based on: -Latest resources -Suggested events -People -Suggested communities -Upcoming events -Recent resources The latest information will come to the user based on what’s relevant to them to support enhanced search functionality.
Tracking activity To support users track activity on the Cronfa system, a ‘things I need to do’ feature has been added. This feature will support users by reminding them of any outstanding activities on Cronfa e.g. Accept a request to join a community or event. This tool will enable all users to quickly check any outstanding requests on the Cronfa system e.g. In-year data collections. For ease of access this will appear at the top of the homepage
Gathering greater intelligence and reporting from Cronfa to support school improvement The enhancements added to the Cronfa system will also include analytics features Analytics will enable us to track popular areas on the system Real time reports will be available on current and emerging regional priorities Support requests can be facilitated through the system to enable deployment of support Support requests can also enable emerging trends and needs to be identified Global search enhancements can support schools and CSC staff identify best practice and sources of appropriate support
