Adult High School Standardized Assessment Waiver Language found in TAP: Students with disabilities who have withdrawn from the K- 12 system and possess a statewide, standardized assessment waiver, may now transfer this waiver to the Adult High School program upon enrollment. The extension of the waiver to the AHS program only applies to students who received waivers as part of 1008.22 (3)(c) F.S. Additional information can be found at the Waiver of Statewide, Standardized Assessment Results for Students with Disabilities TA Paper. Statutory authority prohibits adult education programs from issuing waivers.
Adult High School Standardized Assessment Waiver Language found in Memo: Standardized assessment waiver issued to the ESE student in K12 may now be transferred to the Adult High School program. Assessment waiver is a waiver of test results, not attempt; Assessment waiver must be issued by the K-12 system, not Adult High School program; Programs can begin to honor this now; This opportunity extends to those students currently enrolled in AHS. Use diploma values W58 or W59
Adult High School Standardized Assessment Waiver Districts should use the following two new codes to report students with disabilities who received a waiver W58 Adult Standard High School Diploma (Academically Challenging Curriculum to Enhance Learning (ACCEL)) (statewide assessment waiver), 18-Credit Option W59 Adult Standard High School Diploma (statewide assessment wavier), 24 credit option Please notify WEDS if you are amending and sending updated records for survey F.
AHS Courses and Certification Section 1004.925, Florida Statutes (F.S.), requires that all automotive service technology programs be industry certified in accordance with rules adopted by the State Board of Education This includes students enrolled in automotive service technology courses through adult high school Notification will be sent out to districts with schools out of compliance Institutions that do not meet the requirements would be ineligible to report enrollments for funding
