Purpose of the global assessment A deepening of the existing inventory on BCCI is needed, focusing on best practices, especially in the field of compilation of the indicators. The purpose of the global assessment, in the form of questionnaire, is to collect country’s basic information on the compilation and presentation of BCCI.

Scope of discussions: The current discussion focuses on the content, but not on style and format. Guidelines will be developed at later stage to assist countries to fill out the questionnaire

Discussion 1 – Data Collection What kind of establishments should be included in the frame for data collection? How to set the criteria? What is the best way to carry forward the data collection procedure, given there is a possibility of several data providers within a country?

Discussion 2: Contents Please comment on the proposed questions in the questionnaire. What kinds of information/questions do you want be included in the questionnaire? Taking into account of the amount of information needed to be collected and the respond burden posed, is the length of questionnaire appropriate, too short or too long?

Discussion 3: Others Should the questionnaire be in open-form or in closed-form? The current questionnaire focus on collecting country’s basic information on BCCI. Should it be developed into a comprehensive quality assurance framework to assess the quality of BCCI?
