Resources are in the harvest

Resources are in the harvest May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us, that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations (Ps 67:1) Prayer within the will of God is the primary key to unlocking resources to get the job done Resources are available when we align ourselves to God’s mission

Resources are in the harvest First commit to Him and His ways then…. Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us (Ps 67:6)

Resources are in the harvest But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you. (Mt 6:33) The landowner said to the work-seekers standing in the market place, “Work in my vineyard, and I’ll give you whatever is right.” So they went. (Mt 20:4)

Resources are in the harvest Lk 12:32 My little group of disciples, don't be afraid! Your Father wants to give you the kingdom. Lk 12:33 Sell what you have and give the money to the poor. Make yourselves moneybags that never wear out. Make sure your treasure is safe in heaven, where thieves cannot steal it and moths cannot destroy it. Lk 12:34 Your heart will always be where your treasure is.

Resources are in the harvest Passion for God’s Kingdom, God’s concerns, and God’s priorities will result in the resources to implement His desires God promises to pay His workers a fair wage to do His work The work precedes God’s payment. The workers commenced their assignments and trusted God to receive fair compensation

Resources are in the harvest Surface the need by going and seeing Mt (9:35) Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send workers into his harvest field (Mt 9:38) Primary tools in unlocking God’s resources: Understanding the need Prevailing prayer Mobilizing called workers

Resources are in the harvest …I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you (2 Co 12:14) Co-laborers are the priority not peoples possessions Co-laborers must carry the vision and ministry burden

Resources are in the harvest After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for children. So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well (2 Co 12:14,15) Parents have a financial obligation to children Mother churches have financial obligations toward daughter churches Churches planting churches ensures seamless resources Self-sacrifice at the altar of service is as important as giving Challenge western churches to plant daughter churches amongst unreached people groups

Resources are in the harvest And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God’s will. (2 Co 8:1-5)

Resources are in the harvest God’s grace central to resources Don’t assume poverty limits resources Grace and resources are beyond human capacity Ministry burden motivated the Macedonians Thankfulness led to participation & generosity Resources unexpectedly flow when God is at work Macedonians understood mutuality and self-sacrifice

Resources are in the harvest God gives seed to the farmer and food to those who need to eat. God will also give you seed and multiply it. In your lives he will increase the things you do that have his approval. God will make you rich enough so that you can always be generous… 2Co 9:10,11

Resources are in the harvest Generosity & commitment to spreading the Gospel activates godly principles (2 Co 9:10-15) God gives seed – God is the source that initiates Kingdom expansion God multiplies the seed – God directs kingdom growth God increase activities that carry His favor – God multiplies ministries that are centered in His heart God bestows wealth on those who understand Kingdom generosity – God directs true Kingdom giving

Resources are in the harvest Investment in seed precedes sowing Sow generously to reap generously Don’t eat the seed no matter how hungry you are No sowing no harvest The resources will come from the harvest Store seed from the harvest for the next sowing season

God’s work done God’s way never lacks God’s finance SUMMARY Go see the need Pray Find where God is at work Formulate godly plans Cast vision Ministry burden Ask for workers Invest in maturing thankful workers Model self-sacrifice Expect God’s provision Sow generously God’s work done God’s way never lacks God’s finance
