OBJECTIVES To measure small-scale linear measurements by using height gauges. To become familiar with height gauges. Exp.2: Height Gauges 7/5/2019

INTRODUCTION A height gauge is a measuring device used either for determining the height of something, or for repetitious marking of items to be worked on. It used in metalworking or metrology to set or measure vertical distances and also it measures the height of an object. Exp.2: Height Gauges 7/5/2019

TYPES OF HEIGHT GAUGES Vernier Height Gauge. Digital Height Gauge. Dial Height Gauge. Exp.2: Height Gauges 7/5/2019

VERNIER HEIGHT GAUGES Exp.2: Height Gauges 7/5/2019

DIGITAL HEIGHT GAUGE Exp.2: Height Gauges 7/5/2019

DIAL HEIGHT GAUGE Exp.2: Height Gauges 7/5/2019

Questions Describe the procedure of the experiment. Determine the average and standard deviation for each height gauge measurements. What is the most accurate height gauge? What is the most precise height gauge? Based on these dose one of the instruments consistently provide more repeatable results? What are sources of error in the dimensional measurement with height gauge? Discuss the finding measurements and write an appropriate conclusion for this experiment. Exp.2: Height Gauges 7/5/2019
