PHYSICAL AND AESTHETIC FEATURES SOUTHBOHEMIAN REGION LIPNO AREA TYPE OF SITE Architectural Naturalistic PHYSICAL AND AESTHETIC FEATURES The area full of opportunities for sport, free time activities and fun. AREA COVERED 48,7 km² HISTORICAL/SCIENTIFIC/ARTISTIC INFORMATION The dam is located in the southwestern part of South Bohemia. Nowadays, it is the largest recreation area in the southbohemian region because of its nature. DATING Works on Lipno began in 1951and were completed in 1960.

CONDITION OF PRESERVATION SOUTHBOHEMIAN REGION LIPNO AREA CONDITION OF PRESERVATION It is one of the biggest attractivities of South Bohemia, so it´s in a good condition and well preserved. LEGAL OWNERSHIP The area is public but camps and restaurants are private.
