Introduction I have learned so much in this course about myself; as well as about so many different cultures, ways of thinking, and teaching methods. I think the following concepts are the most important to my teaching in the future.

Mutual Respect Mutual respect between the students and teacher The teacher can still be casual and relate to students, but there need to be boundaries

Presentation of Instructor The instructor’s presentation of him or herself in the classroom is also a big thing Determines how students view you as their teacher Even the way you sit or stand has a huge impact on the atmosphere and comfort level in a classroom

Environment Another important teaching tool is having the right environment for what you are teaching

Teaching for Multiple Intelligences It’s important to be aware that students learn in all different ways Different students can learn from audio, visual, color, body kinesthetic (doing and feeling the skill), or a combination of these

Equality and Independence It’s important for a classroom to be nurturing toward equality and independent thinking Exposing students to different cultures and ways of learning

Conclusion... Students just need to be allowed to grow and expand their minds in their own way. We’re just here to guide the process!
