Hartwell-Dzus Quality Policy Visual Work Instructions Tumble Deburr FILE NUMBER PRODUCTION Hartwell-Dzus Quality Policy We are committed to operational excellence and continual improvement by maintaining a sense of urgency to achieve: Superior Quality and Reliability; Complete Customer Satisfaction; Customer Focused Approach to Designs; Competitive Lead Time and On-Time Delivery and Comprehensive Technical Support. Never place hands into moving equipment. Always wear proper safety equipment while operating. 15 minutes prior to the end of the shift, clean machine and work area. Place tools in their proper location. Caution Environmental 5S Caution 5S STEPS ACTIONS NOTES PICTURES Wash Parts Parts must be clean and free of oil prior to beginning the Tumble Deburr operation. These instructions are for employees trained in the proper use of this equipment. Do not operate this equipment without the proper training. Dispose of liquid waste in the proper container. 1 1 1 Remove canister from deburr machine, fill canister with 40% parts, 40% media, 2 tbsp of 175 grit, 2 tbsp msi soap, and 2 tsbsp anti rust (anti rust for steel parts only). Lock canister. Place canister into cradle in deburr machine. Load must be balanced. If using only 1 barrel, opposite barrel must be filled with water to balance the load, if using two barrels you must use #1 and #3, or #2 and #4. Replace lock bar and tighten. Set Timer for 20 minutes. Set speed at 0. Push start button. Turn speed to 50% or 120 RPM. Remove canister from deburr machine. Pour contents through screen. Separate parts and media Rinse with water. Spin Dry. 1 Operation 2 3 4 General Clean Up 1. Daily Wipe down machine Clean all wet surfaces 2. Weekly Mop floor around Machine Clean canisters. Inspect machine. 5 Timer Speed to “50” After Start 8 6 Start 7 Speed to “0” 4 8 9 10
