Longer-term Church Road Improvements Roadway is currently classified as Minor Arterial on VDOT Functional Classification Major Collector on County’s Major Thoroughfare Plan Current Planned ultimate roadway section calls for a 4-lane divided with an 80-foot right-of-way Variable existing right-of-way (47 feet – 80 feet +) No current programmed or funded project to improve

Longer-term Church Road Improvement Option 1: Church Road Widening Widen to a three-lane section w/ one travel lane in each direction plus a center left-tun lane Would include sidewalks or multi-use trail Requires 70 feet of right-of-way Would impact approximately 85 parcels Projected cost of $30.4 million

Longer-term Church Road Improvement Option 2: Cox Road Extension Still Included on County’s Major Thoroughfare Plan Was put on-hold following public involvement in mid-2000’s Project would connect Cox Road to Church Road just south of Morgan Run Road Would widen Church Road to just east of Guyana Drive No current cost estimate and not programmed
