Objective: you will be able to explain what Feudalism in medieval Europe was, and how it developed as a response to Viking attacks Standard:8.4.7.D. Explain how conflict and cooperation among groups and organizations have impacted the history of the world.

Feudalism... Was the dominant social system in medieval Europe. Feudalism took the place of a strong centralized government. Was a system of government in which power was based on land ownership (fiefs) that was tied to military service Provided a system of local defense. In theory, was a pyramid. The upper three classes held all the power, and the bottom class had few rights.

Station Pyramid Activity There are 5 stations around the room. Each station represents one of the classes in the Feudal society pyramid. Directions: -At each station, your group will write on the station piece of paper anything they know about that topic. For example: One station is “King”. You will write down anything you know about Kings. What do they do? Who are they? Etc. -After 2 minutes, your group will go to the next station. Repeat.
