Squirrels By Grace Baker

Introduction Many people love squirrels, only a few don’t. But many people don’t know a lot about them so today we are going to learn more about them.

Lifespan A squirrels lifespan is about five years old and have 2-5 babies at a time.

Favorite foods nuts snails flowers plants Diet Squirrels eat a lot. They are omnivores because they eat insects. However, they also eat nuts, seeds, plants, animal eggs, fruits, flowers, snails, and if needed available leftover ground food.

Physical appearance Squirrels have many appearances to the body such as long bodies, furry tails, powerful jaws, sharp claws, and are 8-10 inches long with know tail and can way up to 1 ½ pounds squirrels have a tiny nose and lots of fur.

Habitat Gray squirrels are mainly found southern Canada also found in the United States. Next, they can be found in high trees as well as found in the eastern half of the united states in popular cities and suburban areas.

Behavioral Squirrels are amazing climbers. They also run super fast and can jump from tree to tree. When people come very close to the animal he or she could jump on them.

Other facts There three types of squirrels: flying squirrels, ground squirrels, and the red squirrels. Also their front feet are bigger then there back feet.
